DID YOU KNOW that the hippopotamus birth sometimes happens in shallow water? Mother hippo will push the baby to the surface for air. The newborn hippo weigh from 55 to 120 pounds.

Young hippos can hold their breath for about half a minute, but adults can stay underwater up to 6 minutes. Baby hippos can suckle under water by closing their nostrils and ears and wrapping their tongue tightly around the teat to suck. The baby hippo will climb on the mother hippo's back to rest.

This hippo cast stone concrete statue can be piped for use as a water fountain feature.
