DID YOU KNOW that whooping cranes almost became extinct in the mid 1900's? Today, whooping cranes are pretty safe from hunting and egg collection that contributed to their decline. The biggest threat to their population is the loss of wetlands which continues. There are protected areas for a few, but the rest are vulnerable to any ecological event.

This heron birdbath is hand crafted by a US artist. The crafting ensures the birdbath will withstand the outdoor elements.

Craftsmanship

Durability ... Stability ... Resistance to the weather elements — that's what this outdoor bench, statue, chair, table or other decor is about

This will easily last 50-75 years without rusting. Many adorn ocean-front homes, and the sea salt spray doesn't harm the finish.

All surfaces are cleaned to the shiny bare metal before a zinc metal is flame-sprayed onto the cleaned metal (except the rust COR-TEN® steel which is an authentic rust patina). Marine fabricators apply flame-sprayed zinc to iron metals to help retard rusting.

A two-part colored epoxy is applied. Faux finishes are hand-applied with a dry-brush technique.

We are told that none of these products had to be refinished due to rusting.
